Our October meeting will be on October 9 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at Temple Beth David at 1885 McGee Road, Snellville. Sharmin Sadequee will be our guest speaker. Sharmin holds a PHD in Cultural Anthropology and will share her study on disputes over Islamic mosques and cemeteries in Georgia. On October 16 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, our alliance in partnership with Georgia Interfatih Power and Light is sponsoring an election informational session about candidates for the 2 open seats on the Georgia PSC(Public Service Commission ) . The location for this event is Temple Beth David, 1885 McGee Road Snellville. The PSC has a a major impact on utility rates and the percentage of power generated by fossil fuels, nuclear or renewables. More information to follow.
